Haven’t been out much this year compared to previous years. Started the season on November 13th at Constance, we walked on at 2pm and left at 6pm. Only one fish was seen cruising through. November 18th at Tobin, caught 13 walleyes a few jacks and tulibees. Next outing was near home, tried Blackstrap in the morning and Zelma in the evening lost 3 small walleyes at the hole on Blackstrap and didn’t see any thing at Zelma. Last trip was Jan 6 on LML on the ice by 6am till 7pm caught 12 walleye largest was around 4-5lbs (released) so no monsters this trip. Kept a my limit of walleye in the 1.5 to 2.5lb range and oddly enough after drilling around 40 holes that day 8 of the 12 walleye came from one hole in 26ft of water.
I plan on going to blackstrap and brightwater this weekend to find a spot to bring my coworkers out for some ice fishing the following weekend. looking for anything that bites since none of the guys have ice fished before.
Was also tossing around the idea of Bradwell but over the past few seasons it has gotten progressively worst from fishing pressure and low water levels.
