I was up there years ago working around those lakes. Very difficult access. A guy might be able to get in on the creek with skidoos from the Vermette Lake Road but skidooing on creeks in the winter might not be the best idea. There is a gravel pit and old logging trail that goes close to the lake but i didn’t see any access to the lake on that stretch even though it was 100 feet from the trail. Thick trees and a lot of fallen trees.
It looks just like the prime perch waters in Alberta but from what the locals said it only had small pike in it and suckers. Any lakes with walleye or decent pike up there have cleared trails and get netted regularly. Collapse of fisheries in all the lakes up there is a regular occurrence and constant struggle for MOE to avoid from what I have heard. I would be surprised if there was much for fish in there if the locals don’t bother netting it frequently and if there wasn’t much of a trail in. Just my 2 cents.
