I am sure many of you have been fishing on Lake Diefenbaker as I have. Having as summer home/cottage right on the lake can be unaffordable at best for most people. The money it cost to be lakefront is not really worth it when you consider a town like Riverhurst which is perhaps one of the best kept secrets with affordable land so close to the lake. Literally, 5 min from Palliser Park, the golf course, Rusty’s boat launch, 2 min to the ferry to Lucky Lake. The town has an active seasonal trailer sites, gas, beer and groceries at Dave’s, a local hotel/bar, ball diamond, museum, kids park and the annual Walleye Classic. I am retiring soon and will be putting roots down in this great little town, there aren’t many town lots left as I understand, but I expect they will go quickly once people realize what a gem this is for those looking for a family friendly, affordable cottage option so close to a fantastic lake. Happy fishing in 2018!!!
