yeah we were using 30ft tail dancers, perch color, pearl white, also orange ones. with 140ft of line out. "s" turns and coming up the 24-18 areas. usually they are hitting on going up the slope. Also use a 3/4-1oz jig with a pumpkin seed gulp smelt and drift and jig it agressive. Even just a black 2 tail twister jig agressive. Bigger the better. they are going after a one shot big meal this time of the year and not wasting energy chasing. I find they are laying in the gullys the current has created waiting to attack. I have watched them on the fish finder following the jig a long ways before they take it.
