I usually take a piece of cardboard out with me to fillet fish on. Newspaper gets all bunched up. I’m wondering what type of good non slip surface or mat anyone else uses. The only ones I can find online is a “Fillet Away” from the USA and Drymat one. Anyone have suggestions? Thanks.
I use replacement desk tops, for school sized desks, and they work great. You can put it on the back of your tailgate, on your lap, I’ve used it on the gunwale of the boat, on a picnic table. It’s all good and easy to clean.
not too sure why you would use a non slip board but I always just use a cheap plastic cutting board or a piece of 1x6 or 1x8 for bigger fish. used to just us an old table out of an old tent trailer, it worked the best but the weather got to it
I want something non slip so the slimy fish don’t move around as I am trying to debone.
I have used the rough side of an OSB and it has worked ok. Just takes a little more elbow grease to clean.
