Hi everyone, looking for a good perch/walleye lake in NW sask (not looking for specific locations, just lakes). I am a university student so I don’t get much time to try out a whole bunch of Lakes… any info would be appreciated!
Where abouts in NW Sask are you looking to fish? Near which city/town?
We have a cabin at turtle lake, so preferably somewhere near there. Have tried walleye in turtle lots and cant seem to locate them in the winter.
try makwa aka loon lake, you’ll find perch there and the odd walleye. or keely for walleye and pike
Thanks! Going to Keeley in the middle of February for our annual family trip… I was thinking of trying makwa out. Seem to have decent luck there. However, apparently my buddy talked to the CO’s and they say the fishing has been super slow so who knows haha. Was thinking of trying Green lake. Anyone been there recently?
here’s the netting report from 2015
Those 11oz perch would be close to 1lb now.
Hi @Fisherman97 yes we can understand you are university student & don’t get much time to try out a whole bunch of Lakes but there are few lakes in NW sask those you can try.
Lac la Ronge
Reindeer Lake is fantastic, happy fishing.
