I was just wondering what everyones thoughts are on these lures. Theses PK Lures are all the buzz lately and I have seen some guys out on Echo last year one day clean up on the walleye jigging them without tipping them with anything, and there are tons of videos of those guys slamming huge walleye on Last Mountain Lake. My usual set up for walleye is a buckshot with a full small minnow hooked through two hooks of the treble hook so it sits upright in the water and jigging it much the same way as you would a PK, and I have had just as good luck on Echo as those guys who were fishing with the PKs. So I was out on Blackstrap today where I know there are some walleye and figured I would start with this PK, was working it the same way I do the buckshot and was marking some fish and they seemed to have a slight interest in it, but not one took a bite at it and I wasn't marking very many and the ones I did definitely weren't hanging around long. Also I know they have been finicky lately so I switched to a minnow and buckshot and all of a sudden they were on it and I was marking tons and they were maybe not aggressive but definitely biting. I was probably marking fish 50% of the time and probably more than 50% of them took a bite at it. So maybe if they are really aggressive the PK would work as good as minnows but I find in most situations I have fished for walleye (Echo, Blackstrap, Last Mountain near Regina beach and little arm), the minnow and buckshot seem to be the best thing going. What are everyone elses opinion with these lures and what do you think of them versus what you used to or normally use?
