I've had good luck on Steiestol with the usual suspects, buggers in variety of colours. The best have been red/maroon, olive, black/midnight fire, in that order. A bit of flash seems to be the key, so the bodies should preferably be tied with crystal chenille if you have the option but it's not essential. The O'Keefe special has also worked well at times. The hike in will be a challenge if you're carrying the canoe by yourself, even a smaller one. Most people that just go in for a day use float tubes if you have one. Good luck, I hear it's been fishing reasonably well this year.
