In case anyone is interested, I went out yesterday from about 8:00 AM till around noon, and only caught one walleye (maybe 2 lbs.?) I went out in the belly boat, and I have never seen so many leaches in my life. I had to wear my jeans, put garbage bags on my feet, and then tie my pant legs tight to keep them bastards out. I think if there's a next time, it will be with the canoe. It was nice and quite though. When I approached the lake there was a mulie doe and buck just off the road, and I got within about 20 feet of them before they decided to slowly take off. It was pretty neat seeing the buck's velvet antlers that close up. I cooked up the fish over a fire, but it didn't really taste all that good. I have never seen a walleye with so much fat in it though. It's organs were just surrounded in it.
